Travel Information
Climate
April is one of the most pleasant times of the year to visit the Western Cape. The region enjoys mild autumn weather, with average daytime temperatures ranging between 20°C and 25°C, while evenings and early mornings can be cooler, dropping to 11°C to 14°C. Visitors can expect mostly sunny days, although occasional rain showers may occur as the province transitions into its winter rainfall season.
Water
High-quality tap water is readily available in Cape Town and the Western Cape and is safe to drink. Many local manufacturers produce bottled water from sources around the Western Cape’s Mountain ranges.
Health and Immunisation
The only inoculation requirement for visitors is a yellow fever vaccination certificate for those who enter South Africa within six days of leaving a yellow fever zone. The vaccination certificate must be dated at least 10 days before you arrive in South Africa. Please consult your local doctor or travel clinic for more information.
Medical Services
Visitors are advised not to rely on the national health scheme. South Africa has world-class private medical facilities and hospitals. It is advisable to purchase travel insurance that covers medical expenses during your stay.

South Africa
South Africa is one of the most diverse countries in the world, often described as a World in One Country.
It offers the visitor experiences of a lifetime – wildlife including The Big Five and marvelous marine life; breath-taking landscapes of majestic mountain ranges and approximately 2 700 km of spectacular coastline; multicultural experiences and the intriguing contrast of both sophisticated city life and quaint, unforgettable towns.
The Western Cape itself is world-renowned for its diverse flora, dramatic landscapes, and rich cultural history.
Cape Town is the home of Table Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Just around the corner, Stellenbosch is famous as the wine hub of South Africa and has no less natural beauty.
